Conscious
Leadership
A Workshop that Accelerates Mastery
In the midst of chaos, pressure, and uncertainty,
today's leaders must be able to define and implement bold
vision, build alliances, resolve charged issues, and motivate
collaborators. Successful leadership calls for an embodied
way of being that is composed (centered and grounded)
while being focused in action and flexible in execution. It
is the "who and how" a person is that distinguishes inspiring
leaders from the rest. Many otherwise excellent approaches
to leadership development skip this important dimension of
what is crucial to masterful leadership.
Conscious Leadership draws upon a blend of business
acumen, science, somatics* and the principles of martial arts
that have been consistently proven to work in corporations,
government, and the military. Participants focus on their
specific challenges and commitments and take away functional
practices, not just interesting concepts.
In
this experiential course, you will:
- Develop your awareness of leadership presence and
identity
- Clarify your purpose and take a stand for what is
important
- Act decisively while managing relationships
- Build your skills of collaboration and resolving
differences
- Gain more choices in how you act in challenging
situations
- Identify leverage points for your on-going development
- Design practices that sustain your aliveness and
well-being

Comments from Conscious Leadership Participants
This is an active, integrated leadership model that can
immediately benefit participants and companies looking to
be more effective and profitable. (CFO)
As a result of this course, I am improving my reactions,
attitude, stress levels, and outlook. I respond in a more
effective manner, getting better results and setting a better
example. (Project Manager)
The approach of this course was completely different from
anything I have taken. It would be very valuable for the engineering
minds I associate with. (Boeing Engineer)
This course offers clarity around centering, assessments,
defining standards. Very helpful to anyone who wants to learn
to work effectively with their team and to take charge of
their own life. (Director of Nonprofit Agency)
This course is an amazing value and should be a required
course for any individual or organization serious about making
a difference. (Physician)
I learned a ton of incredibly useful information that
I didn’t know I needed to know. Anyone with responsibility
for managing people and projects needs this course. (Microsoft
Manager)
I admit I arrived reluctant and quite skeptical of what
sounded like a psychology course. But I came away with a new
orientation to what really makes me effective—or not.
And real live skills for operating differently. Wish everyone
in my organization would take this course, then we would really
get things done! (Attorney)
Learning how to effectively give and receive assessments/feedback
has saved $50/K a year in attrition mitigation of FTE's based
on the cost to hire a new associate and the related training.
And that just in our department. (IT Manager, Hewlett-Packard)
I am now regularly asked to collaborate in designing projects
and staff development. Best of all, how I am seen has shifted
from resentful naysayer to champion of collaboration and creativity!
(Sales Manager)
Because of the Leadership work, I saw how creating a positive
identity for my team enabled us to make more powerful offers
such as negotiating contracts. A recent negotiation resulted
in $12 million savings annually for the company. (Strategic
Partnerships Manager)
